My Traveling Adventures in Turkey

I must start from traveling adventures tips. Heading to Harran just skip the warning that you have to rent a local guide to take a safety tour around. As well as on your arrival simply ignore the offers of local guides to accompany you over there.

Harran is famous with its beehive houses which are stil inhabitted with locals. Also if you are about to stay overnight you may find a guest house which is settled in one of those.

This type of architecture is common for this region. Also I heard that similar settlements can be found in Syria. Due to lack of woods in the are locals used to use stones of destroyed ancient cities and soil to erect constructions to live in. They say it remains cold in summer and warm in winter which must be human friendly in those ambient consitions.
